Last summer, I had the opportunity to take care of a patient in the trauma/surgery floor at CHU St-Justine. The young 3 years old patient had been greatly burned with hot water on 25% of her body. She had to be hospitalized for several weeks and it was very difficult for her and her family. I am grateful I was able to see her evolution towards recovery, she was extremely resilient for her age and had a positive attitude. It was not always easy for her, especially when receiving hydrotherapy and changing her numerous dressings. There were ups and downs in her health but she was finally healed and ready to go home. I will always remember the story of this little girl and the small difference I made for her health.
